A Few Questions with Hannah…

Where was your wedding held?

Zonzo Estate in the Yarra Valley- I fell in love with the big window in the chapel as soon as I saw it. I couldn’t have been happier- they were absolutely phenomenal at helping us organise and the food was delicious 👌🏻

How did you and your partner meet?

We are a hinge (dating app) love story! We met just over 5 years ago

Tell us a little bit about your wedding dress and your experience in finding the perfect gown for you.

I went to a few different places to try dresses but as soon as I walked in to Jane Hill I knew I had found the place for me. I had the most personalised and beautiful experience there- I felt so comfortable and not rushed at all. Alyssa was so invested in my journey it honestly felt like she was a good friend helping me! There were so many amazing dresses but I was pretty set on wanting a simple but elegant design and I knew as soon as I tried on my dress it was the one. I came back a few times with my Mum, sisters and bridesmaids so they could all see it too and I could try with my shoes and accessories. We made a few small tweaks like extending the buttons down the back further but it was already exactly what I was looking for so it didn’t need much. I felt so amazing in it on the day!

What piece of advice would you give brides-to-be who are hunting for their wedding dress right now?

I would try and limit your options and opinions! Do some research on styles you think you might like and designers- but try not to go overboard with options as it can get really overwhelming if you give yourself too many choices. Trying on different styles with an open mind is important, but remember what initially called out to you did so for a reason so don’t let too many options take away from that. And it is you who has to feel amazing at the end of the day, so all the opinions of family and friends are great, but try and stick with what you felt best in as that is all that matters!

What was the highlight of your wedding?

The highlight of the wedding was definitely having all our closest friends and family together in one room, solely there to celebrate with us. It sounds obvious, but on the day seeing all our important people be so happy for us was truly a magical feeling!
